The Court Street Local Agency Functional Overlay (LAFO) project is a roadway maintenance resurfacing project of Court Street between Elder Lane and Eastgate Avenue. The work includes select concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement generally in the vicinity of the curb ramps, utility structure adjustments, milling of the existing asphalt surface, roadway patching as required, asphalt resurfacing, roadway striping, and landscaping restoration.
The Village has received federal funding for the construction and construction engineering and each will be funded at 80% federal and 20% local. The contractor has indicated a start date of June 28th and construction is anticipated to last 1 ½ to 2 months. The first phase of the construction will begin with curb, gutter, and sidewalk repairs, while asphalt work is expected to begin after the Fourth of July holiday. The roadway will remain open during construction, however, traffic delays should be expected.
