As many people are aware, over the past several months, the Village has purchased (at very fair market value) with welcoming seller agreement, properties along Manhattan Monee Road and Gail Avenue. As mentioned openly in several board meetings, this is prime commercial space poised for future development, and the Village is being very strategic in this approach.
Beginning May 7th, demolition of three houses on Manhattan Monee Road will take place, and will continue in this area throughout the summer.
