Business Licenses
The Village of Monee welcomes new businesses and hopes all are successful in their endeavors. A Village of Monee Business License is required for any person conducting, engaging in, maintaining, operating, carrying on, or managing a business within the Village. (Ordinance 608, October 8, 1986.)
Fees
The Village of Monee Business License fees are determined by the square footage of the place of business' building. The business license fees for 2026 are as follows:

| 5,000 - 10,000 square feet | $300 |
| 10,001 - 20,000 square feet | $350 |
| 20,001 - 50,000 square feet | $450 |
| 50,001 - 100,000 square feet | $500 |
| 100,001 - 250,000 square feet | $1,000 |
| 250,001 - 500,000 square feet | $1500 |
| 500,001 square feet or more | $2500 |
Additional Fees
To the preceding fee, there is an additional charge for vending and gaming machines.

State licensed businesses are also required to complete a Business License Application with the Village of Monee and provide a copy of a valid State of Illinois License.
Inspections
Please be advised per Ordinance Number 608, 10-8-1986, a business license will not be issued until an annual business inspection is successfully completed. Inspections can be scheduled with the Building Department at 708-534-8303.
