Can I have a dumpster on my property and do I need a permit?

Yes, you can have a dumpster on your property, but you need to go into the Village and get a permit, which is $25. Roll-off dumpster or roll-off container shall not be placed on a property for more than 15 consecutive days. No person shall place a roll-off dumpster or roll-off container upon their property for more than 2 such 15-day periods per calendar year. They must be placed on private property and may not be placed upon a public highway or right-of-way or public property without written approval by the Village to do so.
